Wales Environmental Group acquires Drainologyand has more acquisitions in its sights
Wales Environmental has acquired West Country‐based drainage and wastemanagement company Drainology for an undisclosed sum.

Wales Environmental has acquired West Country‐based drainage company Drainology foran undisclosed sum from its current owners Dave West and Keith Simson.
The acquisition was supported with a six ‐figure loan from the Wales SME Investment Fundmanaged by Finance Wales.
Having successfully acquired and integrated Cardiff Drain Cleaning Company (Cardiff Drains)into the business in 2014, the Drainology acquisition is part of Wales Environmental’s planto increase its UK footprint.
Acquired business
Drainology, which provides customers throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset with arange of specialist drain services, will continue to trade under its existing brand followingthe acquisition. The company’s expertise in no‐dig sewer technology and its capability oflining sewers and culverts up to 650mm in diameter will also complement WalesEnvironmental’s existing services.

"Acquiring Drainology has further increased our capacity, provides us with an operatingcentre in a key market, and will enable us to improve our operational effectiveness."
Growing business
With depots in Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, Holywell, Oxford and Anglesey, Wales Environmentalis already one of the UK’s fastest‐growing waste management / drainage companies.
This acquisition is a significant step forward for the company, increasing its fleet by over 20%.

Further expansion
With the acquisition of Drainology complete, further expansion is in the pipeline at WalesEnvironmental in the coming years as the company looks to strengthen the range of services it can offer.
